Partner: UNDP Azerbaijan Beneficiaries: 36 staff across 9 Women’s Resource Centres Duration: December 2020 – May 2021

The “English for Empowerment” project trained 36 employees from nine Women’s Resource Centres in professional and language skills.

Once participants had reached a strong working command of English, UNDP’s goal was for them to be able to apply for international grants and to move toward establishing (semi-)independent management centres.

A-Level’s role was to deliver the language courses to members of those resource centres so they could become more active members of society — directly contributing to the development, advancement, and education of the Azerbaijani community.

By the end of the project, 44 participants had carried the new skills and the broader perspective into their own work.
